First Game

October 1976 - Hastings United vs Ramsgate, FA Cup.

Best Game

1991-1992, Weymouth away, Southern League, Southern Division. Promotion season, Weymouth were well supported with a new ground and it was them and us all season at the top. Had beaten them 2-0 at home, 1200 attendance which for step 3 as it was then, wasn't bad at all. 1538 at their place for the return, midweek game too. 2-0 up at half time and I STILL recall saying to a mate as we changed ends - "We do not want to concede early" - 47 minutes, 2-1 and the siege commenced - and we held out. What an evening that was.

Worst Game

Crawley away FA Cup, 94-95 I think it was. Replay, a trip to Football League territory for the winners - Exeter City. 2-0 up at half time, and again I remember saying we didn't want to concede early in the 2nd half - and we did and ended up losing 3-2 in extra time. Last season's Ryman South play off semi final; at Dorking Wanderers when we went out on penalties - great game, played so well, no luck at all - played them 3 times last season and had nothing to show for a lot of good football.

Been a while since I've been there - but nice combination of new and old plus a decent attendance.

Not going to nominate one - yea sure, plenty of grotty ground but people are working hard to keep their teams afloat in the world of semi pro football. I will NOT call it Non League - such a disparaging, negative term!
