I was a regular follower of Ipswich town between 1973 - 1983 (Our glory years) home and away. But also saw the odd game at my local ground Northampton Town.
My first professional match I attended was at The County Ground, Northampton, in 1972, can't remember the opponents, but remember it being a poor game.

Just amazing!
Was owned by Northamptonshire county cricket club, and during the cricket season, the pitch was used as a car park for the cricket!
The stands were just awful, Hotel end was dire, Spion cop even worse!!
