Luton Town's season in the Premier League have given them the financial backing required to build their new stadium to its maximum capacity of 23,500.
The club had originally planned to open the stadium at a capacity of 19,500, and increase in the future when required. However the �100m+ which the Hatters made last season means the club will instead press ahead with the extra capacity from day one.
Groundworks have already started with piling and foundations expected to commence in the early part of 2025. The club are hoping the new stadium will be ready for the start of the 2027/2028 season but have already said that they don't want to move part way through a campaign - meaning the 2028/2029 season may be more realistic.
