About facebook-user-78680

My first away game was in my second season as a Notts fan:
Lincoln City 0vs1 Notts County

First Game

Lincoln City vs Wycombe Wanderers (approx 1993) I was about 11 years old and my mate wanted to watch a professional game, we are not to far from Lincoln so when they played Wycombe (The team we used to be on premier manager lol) we thought we would go watch... Wycombe won 3-1, it was freezing cold and I was glad to get home.

Roll onto August 1997 and my dad said he was going with his friend to watch Notts County play.... Lincoln and asked if I wanted to go, I went along and loved the expereince despite Notts loseing 2-1. I never looked back and have been a Notts County fan ever since.

Best Game

Its to hard to decide, here are a few contenders:

Notts County 2vs1 Huddersfield Town
Biggest crowd ive ever seen at Notts (nearly 16k) This last game of the season victory saved us from relegation.

Notts County 2vs2 Bury
Another big crowd (just under 10k) and last game of season in which we avoided relegation (this time into non league) The majority of the game was rubbish, but scoring 2 goals in the last 5 mins including a 90th min pen, followed by the celebrations afterwards makes this game a contender.

Notts County 5vs2 Rotherham
The last game of the first season I watched Notts (maybe this is why im a fan lol) We won the league and became the only team to win a championship in March, over 12k was at Meadow Lane in a carnival atmosphere.

Chelsea 4vs2 Notts County
In a season that would end in relegation and administration, this was a real highlight despite the defeat, I took the day off work and 3k Notts fans went to Chelsea in a game we expected to lose 6-0.... Notts gave Cheslea a real fright, making it 1-1 and 3-2 at times in the game.

Middlesborough 0vs1 Notts County
Tuesday night near the start of the season in the league Cup 1st round, Notts victory against all the odds was the first victory against a top flight side in many seasons and the first ive seen.

Notts County 4vs4 Bristol City
8 goals in one game speaks for its self.

Notts County 5vs0 Bradford City
First game of the season and the start of the Munto Finance era, as close as you can get to the perfect game.

Worst Game

Again a few contenders:

Notts County 0vs5 Macclesfield Town

Boston United 4vs0 Notts County

Notts County 0vs1 Havant and Waterlooville
F.A. Cup game in which we lost to part timers (altho they also beat Swansea and pushed Liverpool close later on in the season)

Grimsby 4vs0 Notts County
Nearly didnt include this because the atmosphere in the away end was excellent despite the shocking result and performance.

Went to see England vs France, fantastic stadium, easily the best ive ever seen in terms of facilities and design.

Ive put this ground ahead of Grantham's and Hucknall's and Boston's because as a profesional club this ground is absolutely shocking, you have to see it to believe it.

Its a good day out though and for people who love terracing and time travel it cant be beaten.
