First Game

As wee nipper my dad took me to Tottenham Vs Brentford on Monday 21st September 1992. He had a couple of free tickets as he was good mates with one of the younger players, Ian Hendon. Tottenham won 3-1. I can't remember any of the game unfortunately.

Best Game

My favourite game was probably the Auto Wind Shield regional final match between Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road on Tuesday 14th March 1995. From what I remember it was a classic encounter and there was an excellent atmosphere around the ground. Birmingham brought quite a large amount of support and I remember an edginess around the stadium.

Worst Game

Having been an Orient supporter for goodness knows how long there are too many bad games to be able to remember one particular. A game this year (2012/13) against Stevenage was about as poor as a game of football could get.

I've been only once to watch one of the Worlds biggest teams. It was a very hot day on 13th October 2002 and we were sitting in the sun for the whole game against Union Santa Fe. Luckily there were lots of ice cream vendors roaming around to keep us cooled down. The River fans were excellent singing for the whole 90 mins in a game in which the home team convincingly won 4-2. I also wittiness one of the greatest goals I've ever seen when a Union corner was player out to the edge of the box where a Union player, on the full volley, smashed the ball into one of the top corners. This didn't seem to register with the River fans who were determined not to let anything interrupt them singing. On the other side of the stadium I did see a small group of about 40 Union fans the goal.

The whole ground just seems to be a really odd shape, with one massive stand that dwarfs the other stands and just looks a bit funny. It is old and dingy and quite cold as well. I don't think I even tried the food.
