Argentinian side River Plate have announced plans to increase the capacity of El Monumental by 15,000.
This would take the overall capacity to 101,000 making it the 2nd largest football specific stadium in the world, after Barcelona's Camp Nou.
The move comes shortly after the stadium was last expanded through the addition of a new roof, lowering the pitch and removal of the running track.
This next change will see around 15,000 extra seats added to the stadium's top tier, increasing general admission to 40,000 per match.
Work is expected to start in early April and take 3 years to complete at a cost of around $100m.
