Think my very first game was Arsenal v Ipswich at Highbury when I was just a lad (I might be wrong about Ipswich but Paul Mariner was playing), with my Dad sat in his wicked season ticket seats behind the dugout in the East Stand.
My first game as an adult was Arsenal v Nottingham Forest, FA Cup 1/4 Final, lost 2-1... David Rocastle scored Arsenal's goal (R.I.P. Rocky!).
Worst Game
Away to Oldham in the League Cup around 1989/1990 ish... midweek... freezing cold... lost 3-1... enough said!
I played here a couple of times with my company as they had a sponsorhip deal with Colchester Utd, we played against some of their coaching staff and youth players (I played against Perry Groves). Awful little old stadium (I bet they're glad their in their new ground now)... you can see why there are cup upsets with bigger clubs at smaller ones sometimes, tiny little away dressing room, probably puts the prima dona's in the wrong frame of mind before they even get on the pitch!
