pope-pius-ix has rated Chalky Lane 2.0 out of 5.
It's one stand that looks solid and another that is made from MDF, builders' poles and conference chairs. The pitch needed mowing, but I liked the dugouts and the clubhouse (beer, darts, TV) was actually really nice.
There's a massive car park - well more than you'd need for this level. There's no obvious place to chain bikes, but it's easy to find.
Unless you like to sit up with the gods, you'll get a good view, because the crowd will be under 50. However, you have a limited choice in terms of location - in the one stand with fold-down seats, along one side of the pitch (the best option) or the other one, where you can sit with up to seven other people on old conference chairs behind a goal.
There was a burger van/drinks place; I had a Bovril.
I read from the previous review that the toilets had doors either side. Possibly the owners read this; one door is now blocked off so when you get to the toilets, you have some privacy (although equally, one set of signs still point you to the blocked off door which you may think you're allowed to urinate against.)
The Bovril was good, at £1.70. But having paid cash to get in, I then needed to pay for this on my card...bit weird.
According to the overheard conversation from the collection of people near me, burgers were quite good. I didn't try any food myself.
There were no police and no stewards.
There was also no atmosphere.
