"Nice ground but going to waste"

The new home of Coventry City FC founding member of the Premier League, 34 years of top flight football now find themselves in the championship as of 2010/11 are in their 10th season at this level. During their top flight years they played at Highfield Road because of my team QPR's predicament over the years I only had one chance to visit Highfield Road in their last season at that ground 2004/05 memorable since the R's won the game 2-1 with an injury time goal. The next season Coventry moved to their new home the Ricoh Arena since then I have visited this ground 3 times 2006/07 season 2009/10 season and this current season. This ground holds 31,000, 17,678 were in attendance for the last time I was at this stadium which was surprising considering Coventry's league position. When a team moves stadium fans will compare the old ground with the new. In terms of atmosphere Highfield Road was better but the Ricoh looks nicer

Good location as we come into Coventry the ground is there

Good view of the pitch and there is a lot of leg room as you would expect with the new grounds that have been built in the last 15 years

Facilities

Happy with the facilities nothing to complain about

Food & Drink

My last two visits I have gone to the burger king outside the ground on my first visit I loved the burgers there!

Police & Stewards

Very helpful just let the supporters get on with things and didn't interfere until they needed to

Atmosphere

Sorry but the atmosphere inside this ground isn't very good it was better at Highfield Road. The problem with a lot of these new grounds is that there's less atmosphere in them because your far away from the pitch and the lower the attendance the less atmosphere inside the stadium
