"Wide and wet"

has rated Memorial Stadium 1.5 out of 5.

phespirit's review of Memorial Stadium

One visit, in November 1997, following Fulham to an entertaining 3-2 away win that was settled in a wind and rain lashed second half.

Location

Might just as well have been on Mars.

View

Smashing view enjoyed in abject discomfort.

Facilities

Not relevant. You just want to get in, stand and sing and shout and cheer for ninety minutes, and then get out again as quickly as possible without chasing after frippery.

Food & Drink

West Country delicacies remained unsampled. No doubt exquisite.

Police & Stewards

Interesting lads, the stewards. All City fans.

Atmosphere

Damp but as cheerful as could be mustered under the circumstances.
