"Sh*t ground, no fans!"

has rated Ewood Park 3.0 out of 5.

facebook-user-55935's review of Ewood Park

I personally did not enjoy my outing to Ewood Park. Fair enough it wasn't a particularly good match from a Chelsea perspective, but, Blackburn isn't the best of stadiums and I was thoroughly disappointed with the whole day!

Location

I got the train from Preston to Mill Hill which was in a reasonably good location. Not too far to walk, although the area I walked through left a lot to be desired. Easy enough to get to the stadium as you just follow the crowd.

View

I was 'lucky' enough to sit in the Upper Tier of the Darwen End about six rows from the back. Not the best of views. I found it very cramped as there was little leg room and not much room width wise.

Facilities

Didn't use the toilets as I couldn't actually see them. Preferred to use the toilets on the dodgy Northern Rail train back to Preston.

Food & Drink

Good selection of food and drink but all very expensive. However, the chicken balti pie is a must-have.

Police & Stewards

Stewards were relatively friendly, even if they did give me a thorough frisking on entry to the stadium.

Atmosphere

The phrase ''sh*t ground, no fans'' was made for places like Ewood Park. A Premier League game against a Premier League title contender (albeit the performance wouldn't suggest so) and there were many empty seats. The atmosphere was poor and only got going once Blackburn equalised and even then it was average and aided by a drum.
