"Decent ground, disappointed by catering"

I went for a trophy game against wsm and for £12 tickets you can't go wrong. Decent game and probably as good as atmosphere as you'd expect for early round of a second rate competition. The food situation was a mess - see below

Location

Easy enough to get train then bus, sadly trains only hourly and Saturday afternoons you just miss one back to Swindon/London and have a near hour wait for next one

I sat in the main stand near centre line, decent view and close to pitch even at back of stand

Food & Drink

Obviously FGR are well known for their vegan only food options. As a vegetarian I don't often eat at football but I was looking forward to trying something different but was very disappointed! First of all the system is badly organised - you have to order and pay at a screen, likely queuing for five minutes then collect at the kiosk, queuing again. But a big issue is when I went I ordered a burger only to get to the kiosk and be told they weren't doing any! Or pies or pasties... only chips and sausage rolls! Why didn't it say this on the screen!! And then you have to go to a different window again to get your drink. I think unfortunately many football fans are against trying meat free food and if the experience is difficult and not convenient they'll certainly not be open to it. It was a nice sausage roll to be fair (chips were standard) but if I'd known that was only option I wouldn't have bothered. The sour cherry green cola was nice though

Atmosphere

Probably a lower crowd than league games but atmosphere from both sides was decent
