"Deserves its place in the top flight"

My recent visit to Dean Court (Vitality stadium) was 21st January 2020, where Brighton failed to capitalise on Bournemouth’s recent league struggles as they fell to an embarrassing defeat in a south coast derby.

Many fans say the stadium is too small for the Premier League but in my option, it deserves it’s place in the top flight. It simply shows how far they’ve come from nearly dropping out of the Football League.

For league games away supporters are housed at the end of the East stand, however in the FA cup away supporters are in the South stand.

East stand is my favourite especially towards the back for a better view. Both East and South stands are very close to the pitch so you can almost touch the players!

Facilities

Inside the East stand is fairly standard so nothing much to say. The south stand caught me off guard completely as refreshments are located in corners of the stand which are outside, kiosks are burger vans and there are portaloos making it feel like non-league!

Food & Drink

The East stand have limited supply meaning towards kick off they run out of food, but will be restocked at half time. South stand food was better.

Atmosphere

Bournemouth fans certainly back their team and make plenty of noise from the first whistle. As it was a south coast derby it was electric. Bournemouth fans are very friendly, I talked to a few before entering the stadium.
