Birmingham City has unveiled plans to build a new 62,000 capacity stadium in the city.
The new ground features 12 distinct brick chimneys - a nod to the area's brickwork heritage.
The club have entered a consultation period with supporters and local residents and hopes to submit planning permission in spring 2026 with the aim to open for the start of the 2030/31 season.
The new stadium would be situated less than a mile away from St Andrews.

Inter Miami's new stadium will open on April 4 next year.
Construction of the new stadium started in 2023 and will now be completed in time for the start of the 2026 MLS season, when Miami face Austin FC in their home opener.
Freedom Park will be able to accommodate 25,000 fans.

Weston-Super-Mare have received planning permission from North Somerset council to develop the Optima Stadium.
The National League South side have finally received the go-ahead 7 years after the plans were first announced.
As well as a revamped stadium, the club will also build a five storey apartment building on land adjacent to the ground.

Thursday 20th November 2025
The Bosnia and Herzegovina FA have announced plans to build a new national stadium.
The new ground would be built in the city of Zenica on the site of the current Bilino Polje stadium, home to NK Celik Zenica.
No details regarding size or cost have been announced, but it is hoped that construction work could start in the summer of 2026.

Welsh side Connah's Quay Nomads have revealed plans for a new 4,000 capacity stadium.
The new ground would be shared with the local rugby club, but would mean the club moving back to the town after they left Deeside Stadium in 2023.

Sunday 9th November 2025
The Mayor of Medellin has announced major expansion plans for the Estadio Atanasio Girardot which would make it the largest stadium in Colombia.
The plans involve adding 15,000 extra seats to take the total capacity to 60,000. The project is expected to cost £150m.

Polish 2nd division side Polonia Warsaw are to build a new 16,000 capacity stadium costing £80m.
The new ground will be built in the centre of Warsaw and will form part of a wider project which will also include the construction of a 2,000 seater indoor arena, underground car park and youth sports centre.
No opening date has been given.

The city of Reno, Nevada will create a new team to play in the USL having been awarded a franchise from 2027.
The city will build a new 6,000 capacity stadium which is set to cost around $80m.
Reno is located in the state of Nevada - think San Francisco and "in a bit". The announcement comes after USL confirmed two new expansion teams in Florida with Port St. Lucie (Miami and "up a bit") and the Space Coast (Kennedy Space Center) recently awarded franchises.

Construction has started on a new 60,000 seater stadium in the Hung Yen province of Vietnam.
The PVF Stadium has been modeled on the Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium and will feature a retractable roof.
Once completed, it will become the largest stadium in Vietnam.

Spanish side Racing Santander have outlined plans for a major redevelopment of their stadium.
The Nuevo Sardinero will have a capacity of 27,000, up from the current stadium's capacity of 22,500. No timelines have been announced yet, but the club has confirmed a budget of close to €70m.

Andorra has opened a new 5,100 capacity stadium in the city of Encamp, close to the Pyrenees.
The Nou Estadi de la FAF was built with more than £4m of money from FIFA as part of their FIFA Forward Programme.
The opening game saw Andorra lose 3-1 to Serbia.

Kazakhstan has opened a new 11,000 capacity stadium in the city of Kyzylorda.
The Kaiserslautern Arena has been built to UEFA Category 4 standards and will also host boxing, wrestling, gymnastics and weightlifting.
