trebor's review of Memorial Stadium

The stadium is a mix of all types of stand, seated in a Cricket Pavilion, seated in a marquee, stand under cover or in the open.
Check the weather if you want to stand in the open.

Location

From Filton Abbey Wood Railway Station:-
Head over the Railway Station towards your left, walk through the estate(Nutfield Grove)
You will then be on Filton Avenue which is a long road and is walkable to your left if you have time. Otherwise make your way towards the many Bus stops and 70,71 & 73 will get you too the junction with the Church at the end. Take the opposite direction to get back.
It looks as though the same Bus Routes also include Bristol's main Stations Temple Meads & Parkway.
Parking looked tricky as the Clubs is small and crowds are quite high.
PS
Filton Abbey Woods access routes were under construction when I travelled the walk routes from it may have changed

View

If you are large then the terraces are great for leg room. Get in early if you want a good spot.
Weather dependent if you stand in the open.

Facilities

Good and plentiful if a bit dark.

Food & Drink

Odd queuing system and as their outside and in view of the pitch no Alcohol served.
Nice Pasties but you get a small flimsy cup for drinks.

Police & Stewards

Let things go easy to walk around to the back to have a smoke.
But maybe it's in-experience they stand at the pitchside gates impeding the view of fans.

Atmosphere

Considering the removal of terraces are supposed to be the reason for atmosphere dropping you would think when grounds are mostly terraced they would be great. The Memorial was OK few generic chants. Too few away fans to make any noise
