trebor's review of Clos Tan y Mur

A ground in a peaceful historic town about half a mile from the English border. Sufficient for tier 4 football, with three flat grassed areas that have some shelter from trees, a main stand which has a raised bank to stand alongside.

Location

An historic isolated town which gave it's name to the old district of Montgomeryshire, very pleasant area among a park, views of the Shropshire hills overlooking the ground.
Buses stop in town centre with T12 serving from Welshpool Newtown, Wrexham and local services from Shrewsbury. Head from town hall turn right, head past the Crown Inn and ground is slightly down hill to your left.

View

Very good a raised standing area and comfortable 50 to 60 seated stand with windows that need a cloth.

Facilities

At entrance in block shared by changing rooms, didn't use.

Food & Drink

£1 for tea in proper mug served by volunteers, even collected mug once finished. Situated at rear of stand.

Police & Stewards

Volunteers who love the club that serves it's community to provide football oppurtunites.

Atmosphere

A high scoring game, reasonably well attended for the level
