With a dramatic setting and good atmosphere, this outpost is well worth the effort of getting here. If Jena\\\'s lurid blue running track had me reaching for the shades, Aue\\\'s lilac version was arty in the extreme.

A very decent stadium with a spectacular backdrop, it generates a good atmosphere inside on a matchday too. One of those places that is a quaint and sleepy feeling place that bursts briefly into life on a game day.
