Sure we have all the seen the odd match from behind an athletics track, but from behind a cycling track was a new one for me. Definitely worth seeing.
45 minute or so walk from Stoke on Trent station.
Hard standing all the way round the top of the velodrome made for a great view. From behind the goals a bit too distant but fine from the sides. There is covered seating on one side and covered terracing on the other.
Printed programme, a good read.
Small clubhouse. Plaque at the bar mentioned it was opened by Stanley Matthews.
Nice burger from the cafe, I did kick myself after for not having the local oatcake.
Locals were friendly. Visiting Vauxhall Motors fans generating most of the atmosphere.
