Enjoyed visiting as a neutral, slowly getting through the 92.
I'd assumed it was miles out of town but was a doable 25 minute walk from Wigan North Western station. Good pubs by the station, 'The Swan and Railway', 'Wigan Central' and also 'Anvil' in the town centre.
Around the ground is a retail park with all the usual chain stores. .
Sat on the side in the West Stand. View was fine. Towards the back of the stand the seats were padded.
Fine.
No programme, printed or digital.
They did have an excellent fanzine 'Mudhutter', well worth a read.
Had a decent enough pie in the ground.
Wigan fans opposite me in the East stand were generating some atmosphere, as were the Doncaster fans behind the goal. Ground just too big for League One football where a decent crowd for this level looks a bit lost.
