northeastowl has rated Shawbridge 3.5 out of 5.
British Football's 100 Greatest Grounds.
I am ground hopping as many of these as I can.
Strawbridge is exactly as described in this book, the locals are friendly, there is a castle next door to visit if thats also your thing ( it is mine) and there are great views of the surrounding area.
The pitch has a strange side to side slope and supporters who gather on the high side call themselves the "Top Side Fanatics" they have a flag.
The steak and kidney pie i had (£4) was exceptional. While the place looks a bit shabby it has a friendly atmoshere and there is lots of covered seats and stands which is unusual for this level.
Superb steak and kidney pie
