"A long distance view . . . inside and outside the ground"

Only went the once to Springfield Park with Northampton Town FC in FOOTBALL LEAGUE DIV 3 on Saturday 04-May-996 and we won 2-1 away. We stood on the terracing behind the goal at the away end and my memory is that we were quite a way from the pitch. Another memory is of a great punch-up in the streets afterwards. Don't know if it was because Cobblers had won but aggro there was-a-plenty, with the Loonie tendency of each shade confronting each other in running skirmishes.

Location

As it's long gone now it's a bit pointless to report that we have a pleasant memory of arriving early, finding a readily available street parking spot and them mooching-off to some nearby outlet for some grub.
