"Great for home fans, shocking for away"

has rated Memorial Stadium 4.0 out of 5.

manor15's review of Memorial Stadium

Good ground, definitely belongs in the football league and will be missed should they move in to a new stadium. The pitch surface isn't great, the away terrace is horrible, but the rest is good and food brilliant.

Location

Not too bad, a bit difficult to get to by train and little parking around the ground, but plenty of bus services

View

I\'m a Southend fan but live in Bath, so have been to the Mem as a home and away fan. In the home end, the seating is comfortable and the terrace is good, but the away terrace is horrible, unsheltered and on the end of an open stand at the top of a hill, right in the corner, you\'re really open in there and when the weathers not good it\'s awful.

Food & Drink

Great meal deal and the food is fantastic.

Police & Stewards

Understanding and average.

Atmosphere

Great atmosphere in the home terrace.
