My first visit to Kintbury's Recreation ground was a pleasant experience with fantastic admission prices and concessions. Very friendly and welcoming staff and supporters, and dog friendly in the extreme[most importantly for my dog including a jar of doggy treats at the bar.].
Limited selection of beers, and a small but cosy clubhouse. Food was basically filled rolls on the evening I went. All perfectly adequate if unspectacular.
I enjoyed my visit to Kintbury, and will try to go again next season.
Ground is close to the railway station, but you will be walking up some narrow country roads if you travel by train.
It is easy to find by road, although parking at the ground may be a problem. I parked on the road near the ground with no issues.
The ground does not have a stand, so there is very limited seating [ a few benches near the clubhouse ], but the views are pretty good and uninterrupted. Unusually, there is no standing behind one goal, so if you like to change ends at half time that treat is unavailable.
Toilets were basic, but no worse than at some other grounds
Limited selection of beers and food, but perfectly adequate
The one steward I spoke to was friendly and very helpful.
Typical small ground / attendance atmosphere, but friendly and enthusiastic.
