"Glebe FC - Foxbury Avenue"

This used to be the Old Elthamians Sports Ground, but is now renamed the Foxbury Avenue complex is is home to Glebe FC of the SCEFL as well as about a dozen other pitches. Although it's in Chislehurst, near Bromley, the area immediately surrounding the ground is set well away from any roads and gives the impression of being very rural. Although facilities are reasonably basic, being a Step 5 non-league ground, overall it is a very pleasant place to visit.

Location

The ground is located just off the A222, Bromley Lane, north of Chislehurst. The sports complex itself is on Foxbury Avenue, with Glebe's ground being furthest from the A road. The complex has numerous car parks, all of which are busy on Saturday afternoons, because of all of the matches being played.
The nearest station is probably Chislehurst which is at least 30 mins walk away. Nearest pub is probably the Sydney Arms on the opposite side of the A222, although Glebe have a very nice bar and clubhouse themselves.

The nearside of the pitch (to the clubhouse) has a new metal stand which contains about 1200 plastic tip up seats in the club colours of red and black. There is also 2 small areas of covered standing - one next to the stand and the other behind the far goal.

There is a noticeable slope on the pitch away from the clubhouse end.

Facilities

Toilets are in the clubhouse. No club shop but they sell badges etc from the bar. Programme was free with admission (£8.00) although it doesn't have a lot of content.

Food & Drink

The clubhouse is modern and very nice. There is a bar area and a seperate room which contains somewhere to get hotdrinks food and snack. Prices very reasonable. £1.50 for a big portion of chips.

Police & Stewards

Not many stewards but the club staff are very friendly and helpful

Atmosphere

Crowd was 88 for a match against Hollands and Blair. Not a huge amount of atmosphere but it was better than a lot I've witnessed at this level.
