"R's v Irons"

Great way to spend a Monday night, got to the ground early as traffic was very light, parked easy as was early and had nice meal in nandos, had a wander round the area and then to the ground early, loads of places to eat along the uxbridge road. ground is small for the prem but very nice.
Game was good, we owned the 1st half, but QPR gave it a good bash in the 2nd half, some strange ref and lino rulings, but we won 1-2. adrenalin was flowing freely ;-) must say I really enjoyed this game, I think QPR have some very talented players and will very soon find their feet.

Location

We traveled up from hammersmith bridge and headed for shepherds bush, turned left into uxbridge road and took a turning on the left and found parking to be free after 5pm [mon eve match] sweet! tubes are not too far a walk from ground either so all good. 10 mins if you're a slow walker! follow the blue n white hooped people if you get lost ;-)

my view of the pitch was very good y3 c 170, but to sit down if you are over six foot is not good. always happy to stand [upper tier]

Police & Stewards

stewards were a bit jobsworth, but not annoyingly so. usual search on way in ground.....bit annoying when your ticket is checked four times, is that really needed, do they not trust the guy that let you past him in the 1st place!! a reasonable police presence! didnt spoil the occasion though

Atmosphere

couldnt hear the home fans as we were rather loud, but watching it back on telly they give it a good go, no bother around ground before game, sat in nandos with colours on display, no bother at all, but decided to cover colours on way back to car as we won.
