Digital ticketing is a pain in the arse. Takes so long to get into the ground because although everyone has their phone at the ready it is not obvious at all how you scan in. Every single person ends up handing their phone over to a steward who opens up the ticket further to show a QR code. So it takes ages to get into the ground. A new system which has slowed things down.
Although it's quite a walk from Putney station, it's one of the more enjoyable walks to a ground you will ever find. Walk down Putney High Street, stop off in the Wetherspoons for a pint or two, head over Putney bridge, down the stairs then a nice half a mile walk through the park. There's something iconic about Craven Cottage being alongside the Thames.
In the main stand, which is the only old stand in the ground, there are various pillars in the way. Even the new Hammersmith end stand has a post in the middle.
Not great toilets in the Johhny Haines stand.
Didn't purchase anything as expensive and doesn't take cash. Didn't see anyone with any nice looking food. Eat elsewhere before you go.
Stewards are horrible. Basically want you out of the ground within 2 minutes of the final whistle. R soles.
A library. The working classes have been priced out. When you see the ticket prices, it's no surprise.
