Visited for an Extra-Preliminary FA Cup tie. Grantham Town vs Newark Town, a local derby. The ground is situated about a mile east of the town centre/ railway station. I get that football in an athletics stadium doesn't work for most but I quite liked this ground. The site is vast, but the tall main stand offers a great view, despite the running track. There is a large covered terrace opposite and tall uncovered terraces each side of the main stand.
Grantham seemed an exceptionally friendly club to visit and I hope they rise back up the football pyramid.
