"Average new build, awful horrible fans"

Be warned, if you go to stoke be careful both before and after the game, this is the second time I've been to this stadium and both times we've drank in Birmingham made the trip to Stoke and went straight into the ground rather than risking a drink in the city itself.

Location

About 2 miles from the train station, if you're getting a train make sure you get their at least an hour before kick off to make sure that a taxi will get to the stadium in time. If you're driving get there early as there isn't many places to park.

The stadium like many is situated in a massive out of town complex, offers nowhere to drink. We just went straight into the stadium and drank in the ground before the match

View

Decent enough view of the stadium, average leg room etc. No better or worse than the Meccano identikit stadiums that are springing up all over the country.

Facilities

Toilets are fine, no better or worse than anywhere else.

Food & Drink

Getting drinks inside the ground is no problem though there is no lager on tap (this was ok for me as I was fine with drinking bottles) Bottles of Cider and Lager are served also last year Whisky was served, I'm not sure if it still is.

My friend got a pie at half time and said it was awful however.

Police & Stewards

Had no problem with the police or the stewards, it was quick enough getting served at the bar in the ground and the police helped us in pointing us in the direction to town.

Atmosphere

One of the best atmospheres in the country, they love to harp on about how they are the loudest fans in England. They get behind their team but we got behind ours too! Good atmosphere in the ground.

I don't wish to generalise but every stoke fan was either vicious, intimidating or looking for trouble towards us, both around the stadium after the ground, walking to the station or when waiting for the train.

If you're going, keep your head low because I get the impression that if someone makes the wrong noise they will get a kicking. Truly horrible fans. Sorry to them genuine friendly Stoke fans, but the animals following your club completely ruin a club which could quite easily be a friendly happy club.
