"San Mamés"

Nice stadium, conveniently placed in centre of town and some great fans.

Location

In centre of town, within walking distance of most areas of Bilbao, including Casco Viejo. Also right next to the metro station.

Atmosphere

Great atmosphere.

When I went the opposition (Espanyol) had a penalty and the whistles from the Athletic fans were deafening. Not surprisingly the penalty was missed.

Also, the Athletic fans are very friendly.
