bigaitch's review of The Pinnacles

I saw Harlow Town play Leyton Orient in a pre season friendly in 1989. Harlow had planned to develop this as their home ground but it never happened and they remained at The Sports Centre before moving to the current stadium. The Pinnacles was then developed as the Greyhound Stadium. However when I went, there were no spectator facilities. The pitch was roped off and the changing rooms / clubhouse were 100 yards from the pitch. However, a decent crowd turned out, around 350 or so and a programme was produced.

Location

A long way from the station and town centre, although busses do go nearby.

Pre season friendly on a glorified field...A decent atmosphere was never going to be generated.
