My recent visit to Vicarage Road was 10th August 2019, where Brighton made a superb start to the new season comfortably beating Watford.
Watford 0-3 Brighton & Hove Albion, Premier league 2019/20.
The stadium has seen a big overhaul in the last view years. Firstly, a newly built stand increasing the capacity and improving the overall look. Then general improvements to fit the Premier league’s requirements.
It’s a much better stadium than it was in 2014 when it looked like it was on its last legs.
Great view from towards the back of the stand, unlike from the very front at pitch level where you cannot get a sense of the overall game.
The concourse is the tightest in my experience, can be a nightmare at half time. I strongly suggest fans buy food and drinks when you arrive as queues built up quickly.
Has significantly improved its selection over the last few years.
Quite strict.
Quite good, but we made the majority of the noise. Watford fans started leaving 10 minutes before the game finished. Worth mentioning their mascot is also really funny and good natured with the away supporters.
