"Old and tired small ground."

andy-s' review of Guldensporen Stadion

KV Kortrijk v KAA Gent (Pro League) 23rd August 2015
Typical small and dated Belgium ground, but a good atmosphere.

Location

The ground is within the town, within some small streets. We were able to park out motorhome within a few streets of the ground.

View

We stood with the home fans, so a normal terrace, with a fine behind-the-goal view.

Facilities

Dated. The ladies toilet door is in the gents urinal, which is an alcove on the side of the stand.
The book office outside the ground has several queues, make sure you get in the right one, as the signs do not actually match the stands! Box office staff unable to speak English, but sign language worked.
Free programme handed out as you enter, basically a folded poster.
Merchandising shed outside the main stand.

Food & Drink

Good range and good prices. Lots of stalls inside the ground.

Police & Stewards

No Police visible, and all the stewards seemed fine

Atmosphere

A really entertaining nil-nil, with two attacking sides playing direct and effective football. On our terrace, the game seemed secondary to smoking, drinking and chatting.
