Japanese side FC Imabari have revealed plans to build a new 6,000 seater stadium.
The J3 League have ambitious plans to reach Japan's top flight, J1 within the next few years, but their current 5,000 capacity Arigato Service Yume Stadium will not allow them to climb any higher in the Japanese football pyramid.
The new stadium will be built close to their old one, with the old stadium likely to become the team's new training ground. Whilst the new stadium is not much bigger in terms of capacity, it will be built in a modular fashion which will allow for expansion up to 15,000 seats - the minimum required for the J1 League.
The club hope to start work on the new stadium towards the end of the year, with the aim for completion in early 2023. The following video has been created by the club:
