"Old school, good atmosphere"

has rated Selhurst Park 4.0 out of 5.

thomascr71's review of Selhurst Park

Not many grounds left like this in the top flight. A long time since I'd been but not much changed in 15 years. Cramped once you get through the away turnstiles so ended up sitting down early.

Location

Not the easiest to get to. I usually drive to matches but have always got the train here as everyone says it's difficult to park. I drove to London Bridge - pre booked with NCP £9.95 for 6 hours at the weekend and train from there to Norwood Junction about the same price, including the walk took just over half an hour

View

I had a decent seat (row 30) with an old school pillar covering some of the penalty area. Can understand how the seats at the back would be restricted view and £2 discount for that is a bit mean. More leg room than I expected.

Food & Drink

We were there quite early so no queues really but still really cramped inside. We just got some drinks and went to our seats. Standard football prices and menu.

Police & Stewards

Plenty of stewards, friendly enough and low key

Atmosphere

Good atmosphere from both sets of fans.
