"Time Capsule"

Visited here with Ashton United whereupon a local fan told me Borough Park was essentially unchanged from the time they were a Football League club up until 1977. While some may describe it as 'ramshackle' or other less savoury terms, I thought it was marvellous and a refreshing change from the sanitary world of the Premier League or Championship. Really enjoyed the experience. Friendly fans, too.

Location

Right next to the river. Did wonder as to whether it might be vulnerable to flooding after the events of recent years.
