karl-anacoura's review of Stad Linite

A fairly basic stadium, the north and south stands are uncovered and terraced concrete. The main stand is the west, with plastic seating and situated along the line behind the dug-outs. If the sun is still up, avoid the east stand - you will be grilled.

Location

From Victoria it's simple to reach, stroll or taxi. Just behind the east stand a wall separates the stadium from the ocean. This spot also offers one of the clearest, unobstructed views of St. Anne island you will find. From the north and east stands you have a stunning view of rainforest, mountains and sheer granite cliffs. Comfortably the loveliest backdrop from a football ground I've ever been.

View

It's a single-tiered stadium with an athletics track.

Food & Drink

Concession stands outside are fine - usual burgers, curry, hot dog, cold Seybrew.

Police & Stewards

Stadium staff all very helpful. Police role is to clear the traffic.

Atmosphere

I loved it! For an AFCON qualifier, Seychelles' part-time Pirates hosted Nigeria's world-beating Super Eagles. The better team lost 0-3. The crowd made it an excited occasion still and always got behind their team - and laughed loudly at their inadequacies when appropriate (which was quite a lot). Among the approximately 3000 spectators, half were women; and many families were present which all created a fun, relaxed, Sesel atmosphere!
