I went to the Burton Albion v Northampton Town game and being a Cobblers fan this was the first time I have attended the Pirelli Stadium. The ground was very easy to get to and parking was pretty good too. We parked on an industrial estate close to the ground. There is a McDonalds Restaurant close to the stadium as you walk from the industrial estate but even closer to the ground was a pub that was "away fan friendly". Both sets of fans were drinking in the pub and it was regularly patrolled by the Police although there was no need for the police as there were never going to be any problems. It cost £13.00 to enter the stadium in the terraced part and as soon as you go through the turnstiles there is a bar straight ahead of you that serves draught beers, lager and even Magners!!! The bar was supervised by SIA door staff which was weird. The terraces were good and Northampton brought just short of 1000 fans so we were packed in. There is a good view of the pitch and despite our loss of 3-2 I thoroughly enjoyed my day out at the nice friendly club of Burton Albion.

Location

Very easy to get to and it is signposted well.

View

I stood on the terraces when I attended and the view of the pitch was good.

Facilities

You can tell that this is a recently built ground. The toilets were cleaner than other grounds that I have attended and all of the facilities were easy to get to and well signed.

Food & Drink

As soon as you go through to the turnstiles there is a bar that serves alcohol on draught. They also serve Magners on tap which was a delight!!!!!

Police & Stewards

The stewards were extremely friendly and helpful. During the game I could see one steward talking with a group of our fans and having a laugh with them. They weren't the normal arrogant and pushy stewards that you generally see at other grounds

Atmosphere

There is a friendly atmosphere at this football club. As we approached the ground we went to a local pub and we mingled with Burton fans. Inside the ground there was not much atmosphere from the Burton fans but we took nearly 1000 fans so there was quite a bit of banter throughout.
