A new 50,000 seater football stadium has been proposed to be built in the city of Las Vegas.
The stadium would be built on the famous strip and feature a retractable roof and view of the Vegas skyline. It is part of a wider $10bn development which would also feature a 30,000 capacity basketball stadium.
Vegas is currently home to the Las Vegas Lights to play in the USL (the second tier of soccer in America). The city has long wanted an MLS franchise and there are rumours that the Vancouver Whitecaps could relocate there.
If the stadium happens, it would be the latest in a series of major sporting investments in Vegas, after NFL's Oakland Raiders relocated there in 2020. MLB's Athletics will also relocate to Vegas in 2028.
