Barcelona have revealed that they expect to lose up to €100m in matchday revenue when they move to the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys next season.
The move comes as Barca look to expand the Camp Nou to 105,000 capacity, but will need to play the 2023/24 season away from their home ground whilst the construction work takes place.
The club have started working on modernising the Lluis Companys, but attendances will be significantly down next year as the stadium only holds 55,000.
Barca are also having to pay to upgrade several areas around the stadium including for better public transportation routes and lighting.
