The city of Milwaukee has been awarded a USL franchise.
The team will join the equivalent of the second division in the United States in 2025, playing at a brand new 8,000 seater stadium.
The stadium will be part of a larger development which will also include a 3,500 capacity indoor arena and 140 residential units as well as a hotel and retail dining outlets.
The area will also host soccer and lacrosse teams from the University of Milwaukee. Construction should begin before the end of 2022.
