Albania will host the first ever final of the new Europa Conference League which kicks off next season. The new competition will sit below the Champions League and Europa League to become Eurorpe's 3rd tier continental club competition.
The 2022 final will be hosted at the new Air Albania stadium which was opened last year. The 22,000 capacity stadium will stage the game at the end of May with the winners guaranteed a place in the following season's Europa League. It is the first time Albania has hosted a major football final, but the size of the stadium is already drawing concerns from supporters groups, with very few tickets expected for fans of the teams involved.
UEFA has also announced that next year's Nations League final will be held in Italy. The semi-finals will take place at Juventus' Allianz Stadium with the final to be played at the San Siro in Milan.
