Macclesfield FC unveil plans for changes to Moss Rose

Thursday 15th October 2020

Phoenix club Macclesfield FC has unveiled plans for changes to Moss Rose in an aid to boost revenue.

Macclesfield Town were wound up in September but their assets (including the Moss Rose stadium) have been bought by a local businessman for £500,000.

The new club now plans to make improvements to the ground in a bid to increase revenue. Plans include replacing the current grass pitch with a new 4G surface to allow other local sides to train and play there throughout the week.

They will also build a classroom capable of running courses for the local college as well as a gym and an upgrade to the hospitality areas of the stadium.
