The opening of the Education City Stadium has been delayed until "early 2020".
The new 40,000 seater stadium was due to open in time for the Club World Cup in December, hosting the final, 3rd place play-off match and a semi final.
The building of the stadium has been completed, but delays in getting the required certification has forced FIFA to move all matches to the Khalifa International Stadium.
Liverpool had been due to play the opening game at the new stadium. Education City Stadium is one of 8 venues for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar
