Stadio Friuli redevelopments to increase Udinese non-matchday revenue

Udinese's Stadio Friuli revamped for non-matchday use

Sunday 21st July 2019

Udinese are to spend €30m transforming the Stadio Friuli into a hub for non-matchday use.

The Italian club have been studying successful stadiums in America and are looking to emulate their success in bringing more people (and revenue) to the club outside of traditional football days.

The club plans to transform the internals of the stadium, opening up a number of business opportunities including:

  • A fitness centre and swimming pool
  • A medical centre
  • A nursery
  • A museum
  • A conference centre
  • A music school

The Stadio Friuli will also be used as a venue for music concerts, capable of holding 25,000 in the stands and on the pitch.
