World Cup 2018 - The Vital Statistics

France winning the FIFA World Cup this year was something of an upset to say the least. The country has a fine sporting tradition, and a pretty good football team as well, but they weren't one of the firm favourites to win this year.

This is perhaps what made the final so exciting. The team won all of their group stage games, something which last happened for them 20 years ago.

Kylian Mbappe was a big part of the team's success this year. He had five shots in this year's Cup and was on target for all five. Three of them resulted in a goal being scored for France. This is something that no other teen had managed since 1958, when legendary Pele scored six goals.

We've got even more of these great statistics for you, thanks to the people from Betting Sites who provided an interesting infographic below. Check it out directly after this post.
