In the World Cup final, form truly goes out of the window. It is just about who turns up on the big occasion and Zinedine Zidane did just that. The former Real Madrid and Juventus player scored a magnificent brace in the first half to put Brazil out of the picture from the start.

Emmanuel Petit added a third in the final minutes of the game to ensure that France won their first-ever World Cup.
