The five biggest stadiums at the 2026 World Cup

The five biggest stadiums at the 2026 World Cup

We are just a few months away from the 2026 World Cup, and this time around, it takes place across North America with Canada, Mexico and the United States coming together to put on the biggest edition of the tournament ever. With 48 teams competing and the event stretching across June and July, this looks set to be a true spectacle.

As is the case with any grand sporting occasion, we need some great stadiums to go alongside it. Thankfully, the host nations in question have some of the finest that can be found anywhere across the globe, with the majority of the biggest not even featuring on this list as they are specifically used for college sports.

With a total of 104 games spread across 16 stadiums, fans will get a chance to see exactly why North America is one of the most notable forces in world sport.

If you're interested in backing your own country to succeed this summer, you can find a few ways to do so by checking out AceOdds. As for the aforementioned stadia, there are five that (quite literally) stand out above the rest, all of which represent the scale of what we're going to see go down in NA.

5) Kansas City Stadium - 73,000

The beloved Arrowhead is home to the Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL, and one of the key points to note here is the noise that this place generates. The atmosphere is always outstanding when the Chiefs are playing, so hopefully, that translates over to some great scenes in the World Cup.

4) Atlanta Stadium - 75,000

With arguably the coolest design out of any stadium in this top five, and perhaps any in the entire World Cup, the Atlanta Falcons can certainly be proud to have this place behind them. MLS's Atlanta United also play here, making this the highest-capacity stadium that hosts an MLS team.

3) New York New Jersey Stadium - 82,500

The road to World Cup glory goes through New Jersey this year with this wonderful stadium being the home of the final. It's one of the most intimidating grounds to actually observe, and when you're looking for a place that brings an end to the biggest WC of all time, this certainly fits the bill.

2) Mexico City Stadium - 83,000

This is Mexico's sole entry on this list, but boy oh boy does it make its mark. This place is one of the biggest football-only stadiums in the world, and when the first game between South Africa and Mexico kicks off in June, it will become the first ground ever to host three editions of the World Cup.

1) Dallas Stadium - 94,000

Jerry World is one of the most remarkable stadiums on the planet, and that's not an overstatement. It hosts the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL, it's absolutely gorgeous, and it's absolutely huge. It may not be hosting the final, but it will be featured in the first of two semi-final clashes in mid-July.
