All World Cup 2022 stadiums

All stadiums for the upcoming 2022 World Cup

The World Cup kicks off on November 20, just a short time away. It's an excellent time to see how prepared Qatar is for the main tournament in the country's history. In a nutshell: the stadiums are built, and the matches are already scheduled.

Let's take a look at what these eight arenas look like. If you are more interested in gambling, like 3 patti play online, you can follow this link or try betting on the World Cup.

Al Bayt (Al-Hawr)

At first glance, it is clear what inspired the creators - it is easy to recognize the Bedouin tent, which was home to nomads living on the shores of the Persian Gulf. Even the arena's name refers to this dwelling - Bayt Al Shaar. In addition, the stadium has received five stars from GSAS - the most environmentally friendly.

The arena symbolizes the link between Qatar's past and future. The interiors of the state-of-the-art sports complex are reminiscent of a rich Bedouin tent - especially felt in the VIP box.

"Al-Bayt will be the second most crucial stadium of the tournament. And, of course, after the end of the World Cup, the upper tier of the stands will be dismantled and sent to developing countries to support soccer.

Lusail Aikonic (Lusail)

Lusail - a super modern city explicitly built for the World Cup, 20 km from Doha. And the golden stadium, designed by architectural bureau Norman Foster, will be its center: it will host ten matches of the World Cup, including the semi-finals and finals.

The Qatari authorities understand that the country does not need the 80,000-seat stadium after the 2022 World Cup. That is why most of the stands will be dismantled and donated to sports projects worldwide. The capacity of the sports complex will be reduced to 20,000 spectators. Lusail Aikonic will be turned into a hub: according to the organizers, it will house a school, hospital, shopping center, cafes, and restaurants.

The stadium was officially commissioned on November 22, 2021. Still, the first match was not played until September - the champions of Egypt (Zamalek) and Saudi Arabia (Al Hilal) brilliantly opened the arena. A 1-1 draw in regulation time and a 4-1 win for the Saudis on penalties.

Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium (Al Rayyan)

The stadium has been designed by Pattern Design, whose portfolio includes designs for Everton's new stadium and Manchester United's Etihad expansion, while the Americans from AECOM, who have also built some 2010 FIFA World Cup stadiums and Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (one of the most advanced stadiums in the world), are in charge of the construction.

After the 2022 World Cup, capacity will be halved. Still, the arena will be in demand - Al Rayyan, one of the most popular clubs in the country, plays there (Hamas Rodriguez was in the lineup).

Al Janub (Al Wakra)

The only stadium of the World Cup in the city of Al-Wakra. Located on the shores of the Persian Gulf, it was historically considered a fisherman's stadium but has now grown to become the second largest in Qatar. The stadium's design is reminiscent of the past - the roof is made in the sails of traditional dhow boats. The architect is the British Zaha Hadid.

Al-Tumama (Doha)

The stadium was designed by the Qatari architect Ibrahim Jaida. The traditional Qatari gafia lace cap inspired him - the façade is reminiscent of the classic pattern of this headdress. In addition, the arena is named after the tree that grows in the region.

The first match played here was in October 2021, the final of the Qatar Emir's Cup. It was one of Xavi's last matches at the helm of Al-Sadd - and his team beat Al Riyadh on penalties. Soon after, the Spaniard left to coach Barcelona.

After the 2022 World Cup, the capacity will be halved, and the sports complex will include a sports medicine center and a hotel.

Education City (Al Rayyan)

As its name suggests, the stadium is located in the educational center of Qatar. Here, you have several major universities and the Qatar Foundation for Education and Science headquarters. "Education City already hosted the last club World Cup, which Bayern Munich won.

Al Rayyan Arena is considered one of the most environmentally friendly in the world - in May 2019; Education City received five stars in the GSAS rating (evaluates the environmental care of the facility). In addition, there are large green areas around the stadium (as shown in the pictures, there is even a golf course).

After the World Cup, the capacity of the stands will be halved - and the unclaimed structures will be sent to developing countries for sports development.

Khalifa International (Doha)

One of the oldest stadiums in Qatar was built in 1976 and renovated in 2017. It opened with the final of the Emir of Qatar Cup, in which Al Sadd, with Xavi in the lineup, defeated Al Rayyan.

The arena has already hosted the 2019 Club World Cup final, which Liverpool won. Inside the stadium, a canopy protects all seating areas from the weather, and additional climate control is provided by advanced cooling technology.

Stadium 974 (Doha)

World's first stadium built entirely out of shipping containers. 974 is Qatar's international telephone code and the number of containers used for construction. They will house retail outlets, toilets, and other infrastructure inside. The arena has an alternative name, Ras Abu Abud.

The Qatari authorities will send the stadium details to countries in need after the World Cup.
