"A fine set-up"

zal59's review of Mariners Park

I visited on 28/3/26 for South Shields 3 - 0 win against Alfreton town. A decent game. I was fairly impressed with the 'Cloud Arena'. There were 3 bars to choose from. Covered standing areas behind both goals. A large main stand the full length on one side, and a smaller stand on the other. The pitch looked in good nick for this time of year. A crowd of just over 2,000 that seem to be getting behind their promotion push. I had a chat with a few of the punters, intrigued by a Dundee United fan choosing this game, because my team wasn't playing. A good day out, and only £9 admission.

Location

A few minutes walk from the 'Metro station' back to Newcastle.

View

I chose to stand, but appeared to be decent view, and would be better sitting higher in main stand..

Facilities

3 bars great, all with toilets fine.

Food & Drink

Choice of bars, reasonably priced. Food n/a.

Police & Stewards

N/a

Atmosphere

The young team were belting out their songs repetoire.
