Old Trafford capacity to increase to 90,000?

The capacity of Old Trafford could be increased to 90,000 - if Sir Jim Radcliffe is successful in his attempt to purchase 25% of the club.

The British billionaire has been exploring the options of expanding and modernising the stadium in an attempt to keep up with the facilities offered by rivals Man City, Arsenal and Spurs.

Old Trafford is not on the list of stadiums in the running to host matches at Euro 2028. It's early stages, but if the upgrade does happen, it will tie with Wembley as the 2nd largest stadium in Europe.
